  • Notable authors including Sir Hew Strachan present their perspectives on the events of a hundred years ago, in a range of short videos.
  • OUP was itself caught up in the events of World War One. Many of its staff walked out of the gates for the front line, never to return. Archivist and author Martin Maw tells the story of the Press and its people against the back drop of the international conflict.
  • The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography have made articles available free online - lives of soldiers and civilians, men and women, famous and little-known, who were part of the events.
  • For teaching the centenary in schools, Why Remember the First World War? produced in partnership with British Pathé, includes a range of unique short films and clear, structured lessons.
