This series includes studies that amplify and refine our knowledge of English cathedral music as well as explorations of less familiar territory. It aims at the highest standards of documentation as well as breadth of interest usefulness, and readability. The primary focus of the series is historical, and the one quality that all the books share is their importance as contributions to the history of British church music. At the same time most of the books will be of practical value to church musicians, students, and amateurs, both as reference tools and as guides to performing repertory.
