A riotous and boisterous burst of joy for SATB and piano. This carol is rhythmic and jazzy and is propelled forward by an infectious and insistent choral refrain, with a lively piano accompaniment adding zest and colour.

"Bullard, based in Colchester, is an unpretentious yet thoroughly professional composer of choral pieces in the mainstream traditions of English music. His work can have zest and zip, as in the syncopated, offbeat rhythms of the carol Follow the Star! although its companion piece, the more contemplative Hill-side Carol, is perhaps more characteristic.
