Roger Lane is a senior examiner and moderator, an education consultant in South Wales and a Cardiff City FC season ticket holder (and thus an eternal optimist!). Before being an examiner, he was a Head of English for fourteen years, but admits to preferring examining because he is able to meet the students without them answering back.
