for SATB with one piano (with or without 1 or 2 percussion players), or two pianos (with or without 1 or 2 percussion players), or orchestra This work is classic Chilcott - vibrant, fresh, and great fun. It is an exuberant setting of the well-known carol in which the 'five gold rings' refrain is re-written to appear in an array of guises: gentle soprano solo, swinging barbershop quartet, hard funk, and rock gospel style. This version is for an SATB choir but retains the flexibility to include 'guest' performers. Even the audience can join in! Forces or CategorySATB & piano(s) &

Bob Chilcott (b.1955) Bob Chilcott has been involved with choral music all his life, first as a Chorister and then a Choral Scholar at King's College, Cambridge. Later, he sang and composed music for 12 years with the King's Singers. His experiences with that group, his passionate commitment to young and amateur choirs, and his profound belief that music can unite people, have inspired him both to compose full-time and, through proactive workshopping, to promote choral music worldwide.Bob Chilcott's website

"And I can think of nothing better to finish off an event than Chilcott's Twelve Days of Chrismtas, with each day having its own style of music - from jazz to opera, barbershop and gospel." - Lawrence Broomfield, Music Teacher, September 2010 "It could just about be sung by one very versatile chorus, but might suit best a jubilee occasion at which different choral groups were involved, each taking an appropriate star turn." - Matthew Greenall, The Singer, December 2004
