John Bavicchi
(b.1922)
John Bavicchi was born in Dedham, Massachusetts. He received his Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music in 1952 and later studied at Harvard University Graduate School. Mr. Bavicchi has been honored with awards from the National Institute of Arts and Letters, ASCAP, the American Symphony Orchestra League Recording Grant, and with commissions from the Harvard Musical Association, the Cecilia Choral Society, the MIT Concert Band, the Boston Civic Symphony, and the Welsh Arts Council. He is Professor of Composition at Berklee College of Music where he teaches courses in Composition, Conducting, and Analysis.
